SkinToScan is an image-based skin health screening tool. You upload a photo of a mole or lesion and a machine-learning model returns visual insights. It is not a medical diagnosis.
Q2. How does SkinToScan work?
You create an account, take a clear photo of the skin area, and upload it. The model compares visible patterns with its training data and returns a screening result so you can decide whether to see a clinician.
Q3. Can SkinToScan help with melanoma detection?
SkinToScan can flag visual patterns that may warrant a closer look, including patterns linked with melanoma in training data. It cannot confirm or rule out melanoma. A dermatologist should evaluate any concerning mole.
Q4. Is SkinToScan a replacement for a dermatologist?
No. SkinToScan is a screening aid, not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. See the American Academy of Dermatology skin cancer overview for when to see a clinician.
Q5. Who can use SkinToScan?
